Two Generations of V12: A Lamborghini Murciélago & Revuelto Photoshoot

The Brief

A private collector in Surrey asked for two cars from his collection to be photographed: a gated-manual Lamborghini Murciélago and its modern successor, the hybrid V12 Revuelto. He wanted a professional images of both cars, individually and together, that would capture the memory of owning both of them and he could enjoy and share.

Putting the two side by side made for a rare pairing. The Murciélago is one of the last analogue V12 Lamborghinis, with an open-gate shifter and no hybrid help. The Revuelto is the brand’s electrified flagship, and it’s a very different machine. We wanted the images to show both what links the cars and what sets them apart.

The Shoot

We photographed the cars on location at the owner’s home, in front of his garage and house. That kept things simple for him: no transporting the cars and no disruption to his day. It also gave the images a personal, owned-and-loved feel that a studio can’t match.

The main challenge was the weather. Over the session the light moved from harsh direct sunlight to flat overcast skies. Bright sun brings strong reflections and hard shadows on curved bodywork, and overcast light can leave paint looking dull. We adjusted angles, positioning and timing as conditions changed, so the final gallery looks consistent and each car’s lines and colour come through accurately in every frame.

What Was Delivered

The owner received a private digital gallery of more than 100 edited images, organised into three sections:

Lamborghini Murciélago: full exterior, interior, and detail shots, including the iconic gated manual shifter
Lamborghini Revuelto: full exterior, interior and detail shots
The pair together: composed shots showing both generations side by side

Every section covers the full car, from wide exteriors to cabin shots to close-ups of badges, wheels, materials and design details. Together they make a complete visual record of each car.
